As Senior Digital Marketing Manager your cross-functional advertising expertise will be brought to bear on work that is close to the heart of God (in the spirit of Matthew 25:34-40). Report to the Director of Digital Marketing and be an integral member of our 5-person shop that sits within the larger Digital Services group which includes digital experience and design, digital product management, social, content, web development/delivery, and other technology teams. Not to mention other close collaborators in our internal creative agency and other segment, product, and channel marketing teams. Your role will be focused on paid advertising across all channels (primarily digital) and includes guiding the external agency in the tactical execution of our strategy, and vetting media opportunities that come our way for potential ROI. Being a deft collaborator across the team and larger org is central to your success. Be a catalyst for identifying and growing new and existing audiences in our core segments who in turn move the needle across the donor journey, beginning with brand and cause awareness. Help us realize continuous YOY growth of our donor portfolio size leading to increased revenue and broader impact for our ministry. Integrated marketing campaigns make for an exceptional donor experience, so you’ll collaboratively work across our broader marketing ecosystem to strengthen our muscle for executing cross-channel campaigns that perform optimally. 02 What success looks like (1) You lead the thinking on our advertising strategy and approach primarily through all digital channels for World Vision USA helping us realize continuous YOY growth of our donor portfolio size leading to increased revenue and broader impact for our ministry. (2) You run fully optimized paid efforts in-market running at efficient rates as well as develop integrated marketing plans that leverage the strengths of your colleagues and teams across paid, earned, and owned tactics. (3) You’re a catalyst for identifying and growing new and existing audiences in our core segments who in turn move the needle on metrics across the donor journey. (4) You bring a rigor around learning our strategy and then contributing to its evolution as we work together to raise the bar higher in the months and years to come. From this deep understanding you show up within your team and the larger organization as a polished and effective influencer where and when the work calls for it. (5) You have a desire and commitment to approach paid opportunities from a brand and audience building perspective. (6) You’re found to have a consumer-centric mindset that lends itself to a bigger picture perspective of your work and how it fits into end-to-end customer journeys in digital and beyond. 05 You Bring A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or 8 years equivalent work experience. In addition to education or education equivalent, this role requires 5-8 years previous work experience managing a marketing channel, a marketing program or marketing/digital projects. Your work experience should include a minimum of two years of experience in a specific area of expertise: digital advertising, marketing automation, content marketing, SEO, paid search, mobile marketing, optimization, peer to peer marketing, and/or site product management. Most importantly, plan, coordinate, and execute the advertising/paid strategy, primarily within digital. Serve as a subject matter expert in the digital space, including, but not limited to: Display, Video, SEM, Social, as well as emerging media such as Advanced TV and Streaming Audio Services. A foundational knowledge in advertising is essential, including strategy, planning, budgeting and analysis of results. Your expertise should include customer journeys with the ability to ensure seamless experiences across the digital landscape. A working knowledge in content marketing or understanding of its principles and SEO are a plus. In short, the Senior Marketing Manager will also offer strategic and tactical digital marketing services to all of World Vision USA.
06 Additional skills we're interested in A wish list of sorts but here it goes. You have self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm that shows up in your superior relationship building and negotiation skills with internal and external partners. You are the proverbial team player that works well with colleagues from various functions/departments possessing the nuanced but important ability to influence the work of others without direct reporting accountability. To accompany that you can function autonomously, hitting deadlines and moving projects through to completion with minimal supervision. A fast-paced cadence to the work? You thrive in this type of environment in part because you're flexible and adaptive as scenarios change. Bottom line is you're someone who rolls up your sleeves and gets the job done with a successful track record of program and promotion execution. You have a gifting to think conceptually, act creatively, and use words strategically. You are practiced in the art of distilling complex and highly technical messages or ideas and turning them into meaningful content, adapted for new audiences. Your toolkit includes things like; managing complex PPC/paid media campaigns across multiple channels (AdWords, Facebook, Bing Ads, etc.). Numbers tell a story so you understand paid search, SEO, and website measurement and analytics. An added plus would be any experience with YouTube video advertising, affiliate marketing, and additional channels. You have proven experience in the paid space, building a brand and implementing disruptive go-to-market plans that break through the clutter. You're able to speak to and show examples of your amazing work (we'll be all ears). Deep understanding of latest media consumption trends and fluency with brand measurement metrics and analytics, including a solid understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices. Strong understanding of the overall marketing mix and its role in helping a brand build awareness, familiarity, favorability and trust. Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations; this includes: proven ability to analyze data relating to advertising impressions, site visitation, and online product metrics.
